Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Psychotherapy
A motor vehicle accident can affect more than just physical health. Many individuals experience emotional, psychological, and lifestyle changes following an accident, whether the collision occurred recently or months ago.
Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Psychotherapy is specialized mental health support designed to help individuals cope with the emotional and psychological effects of an accident. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to process difficult experiences, adjust to changes in daily life, and develop strategies for managing stress and recovery.
Following a motor vehicle accident, individuals may experience:
Anxiety or excessive worry
Driving anxiety or fear of being in a vehicle
Trauma-related symptoms
Depression or low mood
Chronic pain-related stress
Sleep difficulties
Irritability or emotional overwhelm
Changes in relationships, work, or daily functioning
Every person's recovery journey is unique. Psychotherapy can help individuals navigate these challenges, build resilience, and work toward emotional well-being as part of their overall rehabilitation process.
Services are available in both English and Turkish.

The Referral Process
-
Following a motor vehicle accident, individuals may be referred for psychotherapy services as part of their rehabilitation and recovery plan.
The referral process typically begins with an assessment completed by a rehabilitation clinic or treatment team. Based on the individual's needs, psychotherapy may be recommended as part of the overall treatment plan.
If psychotherapy is approved, clients may be referred to work with me for individual counselling and emotional support throughout their recovery journey.
As part of treatment, I may collaborate with members of the rehabilitation team, including case managers and healthcare professionals, when appropriate and with the client's informed consent. This collaborative approach helps ensure that care remains coordinated and aligned with the individual's recovery goals.
